A little bit about me…

I started my career in healthcare after earning a Bachelor of Science from Southeastern Louisiana University. I spent 12 years as a registered nurse, much of that time in the ICU, where I saw firsthand how deeply emotional and psychological well-being impacted physical health. That experience led me to pursue a new path in counseling, and I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UAB.

My approach is influenced by attachment theory as well as existential theory. I have training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Lifespan Integration, and Trauma treatment. I have experience supporting clients with difficulty regulating their emotions, supporting family members of people with personality disorders, and supporting parents of children with behavioral issues.

Outside of therapy, I am happiest spending time outdoors - doing anything from yardwork to sleeping under the stars. I feel most at peace being in nature. I also like to spend time with my family and my dog, Jib.
